Eric Beckwitt is the founder and CEO of Freightera, the rapidly growing Vancouver freight digitization startup on a mission to make freight easy, accessible, and green. Eric is the chief architect and system developer. His passion is to work at the intersection of multiple disciplines and technologies, bringing bright people together to solve complex problems and create win-win solutions that are highly efficient, profitable, and sustainable. He has successfully raised funding for, designed, engineered, and managed diverse IT projects, ranging from multimillion-acre reports to Congress and the President of the US to global websites for international organizations and businesses for 25 years. He is an internationally recognized author and speaker on emissions reduction from freight transport, authoring “A Green Future for Freight” in the 2016 G7 Summit version of Climate Change: The New Economy, speaking at COP22, the UN Climate Change Conference in Marrakesh, and creating North America’s First Low Emission Freight Marketplace in cooperation with SmartWay and Natural Resources Canada. His work has been featured in CNN, The San Francisco Chronicle, Forbes, Fortune, Entrepreneur, Inc Magazine, Truck News, and Canadian Shipper, among others. He is a recipient of the 2019 Clean50 Award.
