Recent reports highlight the urgent need for cleaner freight solutions in Canada. While the nation’s overall carbon emissions have decreased by 7.1% between 2005 and 2022, emissions from freight transport have increased by a staggering 34.9% over the same period. Additionally, the Pembina Institute’s research shows that freight emissions have grown by 100% from 1990 to 2024.
